Trek Day 2- Base Stok La to Rumbak

We had to climb the pass today, cross it and reach Rumbak on the other side of the range...
Morning was again, overcast and cloudy with light rain. We had no choice but to move on..
We left before the group. The climb to pass was moderate, but height gain was rapid. Again key was to get into rhythm and keep walking...

the route is as seen, just a little more steeper than it appears...
as soon as we reached the top of the ridge, it started snowing, followed by rains...

soon, the rain stopped and the main Stok Kangri range appeared... but hell no sights of Stok Kangri peak...

once again sunny.. God Damn It!! Why did it have to rain on us while Leh was enjoying the sunshine...

In the photo above, notice a steep narrow path leading to ridge... thats the Stok la or the main Stok Pass.
walking across the face of the mountain, us and our luggage...

the Stok La is more in sights now..
Finally the Stok La..
looking back where we came from... notice the path in the above picture...
Thats Rumbak village.. notice the green spot in the valley.. apart from the barren landscape..
Ahhh!! The geological contact i was talking about!!!
Finally we begin the decent towards Rumbak..

the Stok Kangri range...
